Just as Simeon, after encountering Jesus, "took him up in his arms and blessed God" (Luke 2:28 ESV), we seek to lead others in a life of stewardship, relevant engagement, and practical living that honors and blesses the Lord.

I was cheated on by my ex husband and prayed for the restoration of our marriage. I really thought God would do it, and when it was clear that wasnt gonna happen, i realized i needed God more than my ex husband. I didnt walk away or say God isnt real because i didn't get what I wanted. I had too much evidence of Him still being good. It was hard but a necessary lesson that my trust was to be in God, and never an earthly man.
Now you're going to get a heavenly man? Will this man come down from heaven?
Sorry to hear that. Adultery is one of the worst things to happen to someone
how is life now?
I was impressed by what you said: "I had too much evidence of Him still being good." That is the reason why are remaining strong through the pain. "Taste and see that the Lord is good, blessed is the man that trusts in Him" (Psm. 34:8). Unfortunately, so many people have not tasted. Praying that people will learn to taste.
Yes , exactly . I think that people have the right to say they don't think the Bible is true , but if your main reason is prayer not being answered , you just read the Bible wrong . Nowhere does it say God is our genie.
Job was tested. His faith was strong stayed with God regardless of the testing. He came through stronger. Don’t want to give up during the test.
God doesn’t owe us anything. He already gave up his only son. We owe God.

Prayers never get answered in our time. I prayed for my sister’s salvation for 30 years. And finally within the past year, she has really started to dive deep into reading the Bible. She even threw out every single one of her new age items (3 full garbage bags worth).
This is after praying for THIRTY YEARS.
I feel like too often people pray for a few weeks and if they don’t get what they want then they think God isn’t listening
Been praying for 20 years. This is encouraging.
yes, also sometimes God answers prayers in ways we dont understand and we only see it in retrospect. Hes always millions of steps ahead. Its up to us if we have the patience to see it unfold and show we are true to Him.
@@thequirkychristian what happens when our time actually matches up with God's time?
That’s exactly what happened with Daniel’s prayer. In Daniel 10, it’s often believed that the angel physically fought against demonic forces for 21 days. It might be true, but it goes much deeper. God was actually fighting / working to persuade Cyrus to sign the decree to rebuild Jerusalem, and that took time because Cyrus’s heart needed to be worked on. At the same time, demonic forces were actively resisting God’s plan, seeking to influence Persia against His will.

Everyone struggles with faith at some point because God often tests us to see if we truly trust in Him. All will fall short, but some will find their way back
Less than a minute in and frankly, knowing that you're connected with him gives me way more comfort than insider info would ever give. That's all I need to know. Great, brilliant, I'll pray for him.
I think most Christians are to blame for this. When over spiritual/religious people speak about Faith without struggles or only Sin creates struggles that let's people to unhealthy expectations about God. We need a sober faith
I think it was just arrogance- a lack of humility in being okay with just simply not having all the answers when he wanted them. Also this need to be an expert in knowing things rather than just being content with knowing God revealed where His true heart was 1:43
In addition to this, Paul gives us clarity on why people leave the faith -
“For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.”
2 Timothy 4:3-4 NIV
Based on the text, there’s a desire in the heart for whatever myths people exchange the gospel for.
Amen yes , God leaves to have such a peaceful, life if we have peace with following what God says and understanding later. It’s amazing how many atheist and skeptics are biblical fundamentalists.
They also call themselves, secular Christians even though they claim its a fairy tale, historically no better alternative to live with or use as a purpose for life.
The problem is that the church has decided the NT is "scripture" and thus "without error" and when it's supposed to be that, why do we blame them? If instead we would say, "it's sufficient, but may have small errors due to human hands" then we get somewhere like what Ruslan argues for. But you can't have both worlds.
The atheist mind can’t comprehend what’s in the Bible

@@alexika9981 for sure, i've also seen the most growth in finding a good christian bible believing church . nothing better than the basics!
Best comment 👌 this is 💯 facts and it's only going to get worse with AI and chatgtp theology.
I would say there is a difference in talking to someone who already has a platform, and asking them to tell their story, and to understand why they think it believe a thing.
How the other person is presented matters as well. It's one thing to say, "I disagree with this person, but want to understand you," and another to say, "this is an amazing new teacher you need to only about."
If someone is going to be misled by, or misunderstand that, any basic connection to the Internet is in danger of doing that.
I remember being surprised when one channel I watch that has only shown content with Christians and church leaders did a video to understand a decidedly non - Christian 'church' . He started the video with a disclaimer that he debated not following through with the invitation, and that he strongly disagreed with this organization.
He more than once started that he was generally OK with people choosing to follow any is the various expressions of faith that he had interacted with, but he truly believed it was a BAD spiritual decision to join the group in that one. (I'm pretty sure he said that at start and end of the video).
But he did the video because he believed it worthwhile to understand them and their claims. (Though he may have also had something along the lines of, if you think you could be swayed, so not watch).
Given that this was the only non Christian content on that channel, the major disclaimer makes sense.
Ruslan regularly has discussions about and with atheists and others, that I don't see such a massive disclaimer necessary, as his views are constant within his conversations, and the general nature of his content.
If a viewer believes Ruslan is endorsing an atheist or fringe view, I think the problem is likely not with the video.

Absolutely incredible take. The local church is the mountain top of the christian life on this side of eternity. The absence of the local church ends in the graveyard for many.
Amen brother
I would love to know what you mean by the local church. If you and I are the church... yeah. Could you please explain what you mean by "the local church".
@ Heyo, I did a video on the local church feel free to check it out. I guess a brief biblical synopsis is the local church is the intimate microcosm of the universal church, its the gathering believers in a local area (which the writer of Hebrews tells us not to forsake in Hebrews 10), the gathering of believers in a place like a home, town, city, etc. What that means for you and for me is that you and I have a responsibility to belong to a group of gathering believers who we are committed too, (different than being a consumerist), foundationally its the place where congregational worship, teaching scripture, discipleship, distribution of sacraments, tithing, etc our housed in. Its a family that would love having you and your gifting to help move the Kingdom of God forward in that region. Theres of course so much more to this conversation but hope that sheds some light on my position.
@thejesusguy what is your justification for making the claim that "we have a responsibility" and that we are to be "committed" to that group. What you stated seems to be a world apart feom don't forsake the gathering together. What if I where to constantly move between groups of believers, would that be a bad thing?
@thejesusguy just reread your post. Worship? Where in new covenant teaching does it say to do that in the gathering? Paul's ascertation is that it be horizontal not vertical. Everything is done for the benefit of each other not vertical worship. Tithing? Not even new covenant scriptual. Sacraments? What would you consider a sacrament? Communion is a meal, not a thimble of juice and wafers. There are no 'sacraments'. Believers getting together to edify one another (over coffee, sitting around discussing what God's doing and saying). It's all very relational not rites and rituals or rules and regulations. What you described is organizational religion lite.
I am new to a field, I'm not doing well. I am also having difficulty concentrating. I feel overwhelmed. Please pray for me.
I'll pray for you. But I suggest you fast and pray on this.

Wow your comment is enlightening
I haven't got prayers answered lately. I prayed for my parents to get well, I prayed for my baby to get well, but they got sicker and died. Not only that, but I prayed for my job when I was told I was going to be laid off, I got laid off. I had a dream job that I interviewed for, and I prayed, my Church prayed, I put pray request all over, and I was passed over. In fact, every job I tried to get and prayed for I got passed over. A job I never prayed for I got, a remote one, and I don't care for it.
I have come to the conclusion dreams don't really come true, and most prayers don't either. Yes, I am very depressed and having a crisis of Faith. Yet at the end of the day I still will follow God even if He doesn't seem to want me anymore. I am not okay and barely getting by, but I know it will be okay someday.
The irony, I am a leader in my Church and I don't still understand how people can deconstruct. Where would we turn, God is life

Praying we endure my brother till the very end !
@@historyb5786 Set your eyes on the Cross and you will make it through.
I see your pain, and I won’t throw empty platitudes at you because I know that’s not what you need. What you’re going through is real, and I won’t pretend to have all the answers, but what I do know is that silence doesn’t mean absence. God isn’t ignoring you, and He hasn’t abandoned you, even if it feels like it right now.
Think about Job. He lost everything. His family, his health, his home. He sat in the dirt scraping his sores, crying out for answers, and God was silent… for a time. Joseph was betrayed by his own family, thrown into slavery, falsely accused, and locked away in prison. Years went by, and it must have felt like God had forgotten him. But He hadn’t. He was positioning him for something greater. Even Jesus, when He prayed in the garden, pleaded for another way, but He surrendered to the will of the Father, knowing that what lay ahead was necessary.
I know none of this makes your situation easier right now. I won’t lie to you; this road is hard. But you are not walking it alone. Faith isn’t about getting everything you ask for; it’s about trusting even when you don’t understand. That’s what makes it faith. And right now, you are proving that faith in the purest form, because you’re still here, still holding on.
I don’t know why your prayers haven’t been answered the way you hoped. But I do know that your story isn’t over. You are seen. You are loved. You are not alone. Christ is with you always, and although it's hard to see the point in the moment, there is something greater for you moving forward so keep moving, even if it’s just one step at a time. I'll be praying for you to make it in due time.

Whats scary is there are many Christian influencers making their living off youtube or Christian Music or ministry and some may have fallen long ago, but they keep up the Christian image because it's making them good money they wouldnt make otherwise. Guess we will let God sort the wheat from the chaff and let them grow together for now...
I think we forget that if it doesn't go our way, then it's not God's will. We are selfish at times. We must remain or abide in Christ and not in ourselves only. Kelly Minter talked about this weekend at our Women's Conference about baring fruit and abiding in Christ. Taught me again that it's not always going to go in our favor regardless.
Once you understand that both 1) God can do whatever He wants with His creation, and 2) God cannot contradict His nature, all these “injustice” passages become moot.

@@Alien1375 cultism is more in tune with a worldview that believes morality is relative and subjective, yet chases intangible values like justice - like its based in some cosmic eternal and ultimate truth.
It's logical absurdity.
What I think is interesting is how people will reject Christianity entirely instead of just changing how they interpret things a bit.

@@TheDrink69420 Not at all! I 100% think that bad experiences with churches and believers drive a lot of people away.

Is not the will of God to heal the sick? Does God not faithfully watch over his word to fulfill it? So why can I pray with faith for a healing and sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't. Is God not the living rock? SO why does it seem like a gamble to pray.
Leaving is one thing but leaving and then immediately attacking is another. His spirit was never truly in it.

Never too far. Pray for forgiveness. Find a good Bible based local church. Get plugged.
my friend God said He will never leave you nor forsake you. The reason you feel that God is far from you is because you are in the flesh. Resubmit yourself to God!
We often try to do too much at one time. Just do what you can, not what you can't. Every step in the right direction will get you there no matter how small.
Friend, I can relate to that feeling of being far from God. When I was deep into a habitual sin, I felt so ashamed and I thought I'd gone too far. I barely prayed or read the bible. So I thought I had to clean myself up before coming to God. Then when things were the darkest I cried out to God. He's taken me on a journey of sanctification since then. I have changed. I know that my redeemer live. I still battle the temptations. Sometimes it really hard to resist but slowly but surely God is training me up in the faith.
Now I know it was a lie from the pit of Hell to think I couldn't come before My God and Savior. I was so decieved. The Lord Jesus is THE best person to run to when you're broken.
Resist the accuser's voice that's bogging you down in hopelessness and come to God. He has not ever been far away. God is waiting even now for you to return to his arms. Take even a tiny step of faith. Talk to him honestly. Repent. He will see you through this period in your life.
Most don’t understand the grace of God, even on this channel and these comments. It’s always the same with these people. “ ask for forgiveness and get to work”. There’s no hope in that do better try harder Christianity.
The truth is you are already forgiven. Why ask for forgiveness for something Christ already finished on the cross? He’s the lamb of God who took away the sin of the world, including yours, past present and future. He counts not your sin against you He buried them in the depths of the sea He removed them as far as the East is from the west and remembers them no more the nano second you believe the gospel. He calls salvation a free gift 🎁, meaning it’s not conditional upon your performance or your ability to turn from your sin. The only condition is to trust in the person and work of Christ alone apart from any works. We are justified by faith alone.
“And they said, BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.”
Acts 16:31 KJV
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever BELIEVETH in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16 KJV
“For by GRACE are ye saved through faith; and that NOT of yourselves: it is the gift of God: NOT of works, lest any man should boast.”
Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV
“Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that WORKETH NOT, but BELIEVETH on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.”
Romans 4:4-5 KJV
God answers prayers that pertain to life and godliness and if the spirit of the Lord is not in the prayer and it is not prayed with faith then it will not be answered. This is why we have to pray the perfect will of God and we do this through receiving Revelation from the Holy Spirit that's inside us.
So, he came and he left in a few years. I remember there were many people who addressed his error, but he rejected it. So, why did he leave?

Anyone under the law is in a cult? So the Israelites were on a cult 4000 years ago? Careful. The Law was given by a man of God, Moses. No, we aren't under it now, but to call it a cult is foolish.
@Rude_Boi if you're still under the law today when Jesus has set us free, then yes, you're in a cult.
@headbangerdnb The law isn't a cult. The law was given by God to Moses, who then gave it to the Israelites. Do you dare call what God gave unto man, a cult?? What the law was, man could not accomplish, making the law a curse unto man, and not a cult.
You can have your opinion all you like, but opinions can be wrong, and what God gave [the law of Moses], Christ fulfilled. So, according to you, did Christ Jesus fulfill a cult? God forbid.
Change your thinking because it is flawed.
@@headbangerdnb True, we are set free and redeemed by Christ. Not any law.
grace through faith, not of works??? by that logic hitler would go to heaven
also the bible contradicts that whole belief that is probably taught in the churches
"So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead." (james 2 : 17)
I wouldn't say Chris Lasalas church is a cult exactly. It's more so a church with a pastor that teaches some wonky doctrine from time to time. He teaches works salvation alongside grace sometimes, he mixes justification and sanctification together once in awhile. Deffinetly not good, but cult seems a bit extreme.
Well you can say that but Chris called his followers a cult before lmao
@@Himathyyy Every group that casts out demons can be called a cult. Here is the definition - A relatively small group of people having religious beliefs or practices regarded by others as strange or sinister.
Chris teaches faith alone saves then works are evidence of salvation. He teaches if you havent repented you arent saved but he would say you cant repent to earn your way to be saved.
Cult is an offshoot group that differs in religious beliefs from mainstream. Calvinism is like 1% of all Christian’s, they could all be considered a cult.
I’m a Protestant but this is 1 of the reasons Catholics do have a help because comprehension is hard for people and it’s even harder if you don’t allow the Holy Spirit to reveal truth to them. So in the Catholic framework the pope and the past writings are able to be used and allow them to know how to understand scripture.

@ my answer remains. It’s easy as humans to put our own thinking in place of God’s. Which we all tend to do at one point or another. My direct response without going too deep, is that God knows all things and will judge all things. Because we don’t know or see or understand, doesn’t mean He doesn’t

Ruslan, please reach out to Michael Licona regarding inspiration and inerrancy. Your content has been heading in that direction, and I truly believe he could bring clarity to these discussions on hermeneutics, Gospel differences, and related topics. Even Bart Ehrman avoids debating him on this subject now!

There’s the gift of prophecy , evangelism, teaching , pastoring and of apostle , you can’t just suddenly be baby Christian and begin to teach a baby does start by chewing chicken but the milk of his mother to strengthen the baby as it grows to solid food
Well said Ruslan!
As great as it would be for him to be a success story, I'm also fine with him being a cautionary tale.
I respect you very much Ruslan and I completely agree more people who leave Christianity where fundamentalist but I left and was not and I have a lot of questions that I’m hoping are answered one day and I will be able to believe again I really hope that happens but as of now I just don’t believe there’s to many problems with the Bible and Christianity as a whole for me to go all the way
What is the core issue you have?
@@andrewdurfee3896 one issue I have is the moral inconsistency between the old testament god who commanded genocide and did many horrible things and the New Testament god who is forgiving and loving
@ a valid concern. You won’t find answers for that concern from Biblical Christian’s or sola scriptoria believers, but there are answers.
@@andrewdurfee3896 what answers are you suggesting?
@@AmercanM I’m suggesting an open cannon of scripture of course. The Latter-day Saint answer to this question would be that the children of Israel under Moses received the lesser law through disobedience when Moses went up to mount Sinai. The original tablets with the law from God were thrown by Moses to earth and broken. Moses would go back up and receive new tablets but they would contain the lesser law. The higher law that they would have received from God would later have to be reveled through Jesus Christ. The lower law would point towards the higher, but the light and knowledge would be lesser. This is a brief explanation on the matter.
This is what I said the other day. I'm so glad my parents raised me in the same local church my whole life, it made things so much easier.
Great commentary, Ruslan. You come across as very geniune, caring, and intelligent. Alot of good advice and perspective in this video. God bless you bro.
Much of the Theology he really claimed to hold to and attempted to teach, unbeknownst to him, made it clear he didn’t really know what he was teaching or adhering too.
I also think taking things literally is not entirely the problem but rather when it’s taken literally there’s some sort of attempt to find some wrong in God, rather than genuinely seeking to understand why the text says what it says with the assumption that God is flawless and we’re the finite beings.
Yes. I said hyper literally.
Great perspective Ruslan! The last part especially the anti stuff.
He was never a Christian. What’s wrong with y’all?
exactly, he was a unitarian and law keeper for most of the time
@@223cw7fax, we saw this coming from a mile away
I was reading Genesis 6:6 the other day, and something didn’t sit right with me. It says God regretted making mankind and that it grieved Him. But if God is all-knowing, wouldn’t He have seen this coming before He even created humans? Like, how does an omniscient being have regrets? Regret implies you didn’t fully anticipate the outcome. And if He did know exactly how things would turn out but still felt regret later, isn’t that just choosing to suffer over a decision He never had to make in the first place?
Regret doesn’t always imply not knowing the outcome. Drug abusers know that when they take drugs they are going to regret it later but still choose to do it and regret it. The Hebrew word for regret just means it grief. God was grieved and it makes sense in the context. God gives mankind free will, and mankind used their free will wrongly, therefore it makes God upset. Now you ask why would you God be upset if he knew he could prevent this? Because he loves you enough to respect your free will over stopping you from causing him pain. God’s knowledge is way higher than your knowledge, he understands things better than you understand.
Isaiah 55:8: “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD.
@ Okay, but here’s where that doesn’t really hold up. You’re saying regret doesn’t always mean not knowing the outcome, which is fair in human cases-like a drug addict making a bad decision. But the difference is, humans aren’t all-knowing. They don’t have perfect knowledge of all factors and outcomes like God supposedly does.
If God is truly all-knowing, he didn’t just suspect mankind would mess up, he knew with absolute certainty before creating them that they would fall, cause suffering, and eventually make him regret the whole thing. And he still went through with it? That’s not like a drug addict making a bad choice. Drug addicts experience temptation, uncertainty, and flawed decision-making. God, being all-powerful and in control, had full knowledge and full control and still willingly chose an outcome he later regretted.
You also mention that the Hebrew word means grief, which is fine, but grief still implies emotional distress over an outcome. And if God knew exactly how things would turn out, why would he feel grief at all? It’s like watching a movie you’ve already seen a million times and still acting shocked at the ending.
And then the free will argument-God gave humans free will knowing they’d use it in a way that would make him regret it? If he values free will over preventing pain, why intervene in some biblical stories but not others? Why even create beings he knew he’d eventually grieve over? It just makes him look like a being who willingly created suffering for no good reason.
And saying ‘God’s thoughts are higher than ours’ is kind of just a non-answer. It’s basically saying ‘just trust me, bro’ when there’s an obvious contradiction. If God really understands things better than we do, why is he making decisions that, from any rational perspective, make no sense.
@@JTOG94 and thats just it our rational human perception cant always comprehend deeper things of the Lord and thats where trust and faith is gonna have to come in man we are not gonna know it all obsessing over understanding everything is where pride comes in and then the fall
@ You don’t just get to throw your hands in the area and appeal to mystery when a challenging passage comes up. If being curious and having legitimate questions is considered an “obsession” or being “prideful” then count me out. in other words, you’re saying I shouldn’t be asking this question because I am at risk of being prideful. that to me sounds a lot like a cult.
This was a lot of wisdom given in this video.
I still believe that Don will come back to Christianity , God will find his way to his heart it’s happened in the Bible when the apostles denied Jesus
I've searched desperately for videos of this guy and I can say for at least the past year, he has not shown the fruit of being a Christian
too many times we have these Christians who literally read the Bible not in context, and more like a wish book where God is their genie; that he being our father in heaven who wants to have relationship with us and grow to be more like him--of which takes growth, instruction and time.
He never believed in God. It's as simple as that. He thought he could be a religious grifter in Christianity and is now flip flopping, like most grifters for notoriety.
